Look who I found on Deviantart with the same nick and birthdate and a profile image stolen from
... with the signature erased of course...Thanks to the past plagarism of one "Mr. Legitomite", people are a lot quicker to confront and take down these hacks.
I am pretty sure the speed in which this article came up on Bleeding Cool demonstrates that artists and their fans are a tight knit and connected group now.

Dude got his etsy site wiped - he has a twitter btw [link]
Got this brought to my attention, so spread the word.
ART THEFT!!!ART FRAUD! Check this guy out. He's taking work from other artists, claiming it as his own and then selling prints of them on Etsy.com. Not only is he claiming these pieces of art as his own but he whites-out the artists signature to hide evidence of it being anything but his own original creation. He has one of my pieces for sale in his store as well as art from several other illustrators that he apparently "admires". He's also written a little bio about his talent and how hard he has worked to get his skills where they are at. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated and we will hit you hard.

Right off the bat I saw one of the images was done by Francis Manapul.
I hate these guys...

That's why I hate dealing with those sites and head to da or fa. sadly, some of the really good art isn't shown on da or fa. That's why I follow the journals in hopes other artists find these people and suggest them.
