Just watched the Adventure Time episode "I remember you".

*SPOILERS BELOW*

Another very moving and emotional story with a lot of depth between two characters you really don't know much about so it was very surprising finding out part of it was a shared history.

I was so moved I felt I had to draw something... like how Marceline will always remember how happy she felt with Simon at her side long after he forgets about her...

Since people are asking why Marceline would have an octopus for her tat, here is my answer:

An octopus is considered a monster of the deep/darkness - but in fact they aren't monsters at all.

They are smart, can change color or lose a limb if necessary when they have to escape - which eventually grows back.

It symbolizes survival, regeneration and healing.

It also reminds Marceline of the many hugs she got from Simon when she needed to be comforted.

I thought it would be something she would choose instead of something "cute".
